Description
Development for the PC-12 began in 1989; by 1991 it completed its inaugural flight. FAA approval followed in 1994. The PC-12 is a single engine turboprop that features better fuel economy and good speed relative to larger turbojet aircraft. It is also short-field capable. We offer the Executive variant of the PC-12, which seats 8-9 passengers. Cabin dimensions are 4.8 feet high, 5 feet wide and 17 feet long.
The PC-12 is powered by a single Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6 turboprop engine. It is capable of single-pilot IFR operations. With full fuel, it can haul an 1100+ lbs payload. Its engine is powerful enough to take off and land at most short-field airports. The aircraft has a ceiling of 30,000 feet, which it can climb to in 26.5 minutes. It has a max cruise speed of 270 knots (312 mph) and a max range of over 2000 miles. Fuel consumption is typically around 75 gallons per hour, with a maximum fuel capacity of 402 gallons. This plane is ideal for trips that are 1-3 hours long. For example, New York to Chicago is a typical flight in the PC-12. The PC-12 is also capable of longer flights, such as New York to southern Florida.
Hourly estimates for the PC-12 range from $1400-$1900.
